1. Services & Scope
Crown Aluminum & Construction ("we," "our," or "us") provides aluminum fabrication and glazing, building construction, and general contracting services in Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, and surrounding areas in Kenya.
These terms govern the use of our website and the engagement of our services. By submitting a contact form, requesting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Estimates & Quotes
- Free estimates are provided after a site visit or detailed project discussion
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated
- Quotes are based on the scope of work agreed at the time of estimation. Changes to scope may result in revised pricing
- All prices are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless otherwise specified
3. Project Timeline
- Timelines provided are estimates based on current workload, material availability, and weather conditions
- We will communicate any anticipated delays as early as possible
- Force majeure events (acts of God, supplier disruptions, government actions) may affect timelines and are not grounds for penalty
- Minor timeline variations of up to 2 weeks are considered normal in the construction industry
4. Payment Terms
- Payment schedules are agreed in writing before work begins
- A deposit of 30-50% may be required for material procurement, depending on project size
- Progress payments are due as per the agreed schedule
- Final payment is due upon project completion and client sign-off
- Late payments may result in work suspension until outstanding amounts are settled
5. Workmanship Warranty
- We provide a 5-year workmanship warranty on all projects
- Manufacturer warranties on materials (aluminium profiles, glass, fittings) are passed through to the client — typically 5-15 years
- The warranty covers defects in workmanship, not damage from misuse, alterations by third parties, or normal wear and tear
- Warranty claims must be submitted in writing. We will inspect and address valid claims at no cost
- Full warranty terms are documented in writing at project handover
6. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate project requirements and site access during working hours
- Obtain any necessary approvals, permits, or permissions from relevant authorities or building management
- Ensure the work area is accessible and free from obstructions
- Communicate any concerns or changes promptly
7. Limitation of Liability
- Our total liability is limited to the value of the project contract
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of business or inconvenience during construction
- We maintain $2M general liability insurance for your protection
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence
8. Intellectual Property
All designs, drawings, specifications, and proposals provided by Crown Aluminum & Construction remain our intellectual property. They are provided for the sole purpose of the agreed project and may not be reproduced or used for other projects without our written consent.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate a project agreement with 14 days written notice. Upon termination, the client is responsible for payment for work completed and materials procured up to the termination date.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through amicable negotiation first, and if unresolved, through mediation or the courts of Kenya.
